Regrettably, I have decided to not continue as host of the Speal’s Tavern Thursday open mic. Thank you to Ryan LaBovick for filling in for me last month. Ryan is super cool and he’s been very encouraging to me. I have offered to fill in if a replacement is needed, but after doing 165 open mics at Speal’s Tavern I think it’s time to pass the torch. Ultimately I’m retiring from doing my own open mics. I’ve had tons of fun with you all, and I learned tons and tons. Still learning. Bottom line, the reason I’m quitting is because I need a change and I’d like to focus on my gigs. THANK YOU to Dan Speal and to Speal’s Tavern and to all the performers and patrons that I saw regularly. I have a ton of gratitude for the years and the hundreds of open mics we did together. We had so many good times and I love you all. THANK YOU
